So happy to have found this site. My father, Col John F P Hill and Mother, Elizabeth, and I and my brother lived in the von Stauffenberg house in Dahlem when Dad was Chief of the Allied Staff. We all loved that time in our lives and so wished we could have attended the reunion. I would love a photo if anyone has one of the troops being reviewed as they went under the Brandenburg Gate in 60 , 61. Best regards, Elise in Baltimore |

our family was living in Berlin at the time the Wall went up. On the night of August 13, 1961,I remember the commotion in our entry hall. I went to the railing and looked down. There was my Dad, his two aides, and his Military driver. All were dressed in battle gear discussion something about a "wall". I asked what was going on and Dad looked up and told me to go back to bed. We didn't see him for several days. You see he was the USCOB at that time....his name was General Albert Watson, II. |
