Assigned to B/4/6 from 7/73 to 5/74. It's too bad that for the time the Berlin Brigade was there, its contribution to maintaining peace during the Cold War seems to have had little significance in the eyes of the western world. Try looking for memorabilia for any of the units connected to the Berlin Brigade. You can fine things for Korea, WW II and Vietnam easily enough. You can fine all kinds of things connected with Iraq. But anything associated with the Berlin Brigade is all but impossible to find, relatively speaking. I consider myself lucky to have been a part of it. |

Assigned to B 5/14 Inf. from 1989 to 1991, when I regretably discharge. Serving in Berlin was one of my greatest experiences. The city of Berlin, GE will alway hold a special place in my heart. I have so many fond memories from the 3 years I served.

I served in Berlin (McNair Barracks) Co. B 3rd. Bn., 6th. Inf. from fall of 1960 to spring of 1962. I was there when the wall was constructed. My older brother (Bill) was in the Air Force, and stationed at Templehoff part of the time I was there. Very interesting and enjoyable times.
