I proudly served as Base Piece Gunner in C Battery 94th Artillery. Jan '67 - July '69. We fired the salute for President Nixon's visit and set a new "22 second" record for the hip shoot during annual training. The day I rotated I watched our first step on the moon. Fond memories. I was with the HHC 2/6th Inf for a short while in 1969. 592nd hadn't received my top Secret clearance so they put me into an MOS as clerk typist. Unfortunately, they had just left for the zone? The Lt left as OD didn't have a place for me, so I was a lifeguard at the Andrews Pool until my Top Secret clearance came through. But I'm still very proud to be able to say.....I was with the 2/6th Inf. | |||

My father, Troy Eshelman, served with Company "F" of the 40th Armor during 1970 and 1971. He was best friends with another serviceman Named Ray.. Not sure of last name.. Anyone Familiar with these names please contact me... I was born in Berlin during October of 1971. |
