I was stationed in Berlin with the 287th MP Co. from Sept 1972 til March 1975. Most of that time, I was part of the ACA detachment. This was a great assignment. Had my wife Mary Ellen with me in Berlin. She worked at the Andrews PX. I coached the baseball team at the Berlin American High School for 1 year. Loved the city and it's people. The transportation system was the best I have ever seen. Loved the curry wurst, and the Berliner Kindle too.
Great web site.

I spent the first 3 years of a 22 year career in Berlin. I can honestly say it was the best assignment I had. I miss it even today.

I was a Berliner from December 1973 until July 1976. Serving as company armorer in B-4-6 until I moved to Andrews Barracks and worked as a draftsman at G-3.

I am searching for the American citizen Richard Lewis. He was stationed as a soldier in Berlin in the Andrew Barracks between 1960 and 1963, and was sent back to San Francisco in1962-63. His comrade Lawrence Jackson from Texas was stationed in Berlin with him. Richard spent most of his free time in the club player’s inn. Even with these vague information I hope for a positive feedback. I am looking for a Birthday or in which US State he might live now. He should be between 72-74 Years old now.

Dear all,

my name is Lena and I am writing my master thesis on the "social passes" in postwar Berlin-Schöneberg. Germans needed that kind of pass to accompany a force of the us army into clubs and bars sponsored by the us. army.
Could anyone remember something about this process? Or could you help me to find out where that clubs and bars were located, especially in Schöneberg?

Thanks a lot in advance.

I was stationed with USASAFSB at Andrews Barracks for 4 years from 1968-1972. With the Army security Agency, MOS: 72B40. Worked mostly at the HQ Comm Center, but also on Teufelsberg 'T-Berg'. Anyone else there the same time?
