Was with the 7350th Security Police from May 73 to May 75. Berlin was the greatest assignment I ever had and the most beautiful city I've ever seen. I was in total amazement from the culture to the architecture. I loved the German people and will try to see Berlin once more. Anyone remember the big Karate tournament? Bruckner's karate school against our guys (AF and Army)? Would love to hear from you 7350th SP's. Steffenhagen, Waseleski, Rogers. Also the guys from the base Industrial Police (IP's) Senior Inspector Liebsch, Inspector Bodo Brauer.

Nice trip through the past. I was in the 592nd Sig Co 1969-70, and in the summer of 1969 I was a lifeguard at the pool. That was the best time of my life, and I hope to return to Berlin before I pass on.

The photos on this site are special to me. They take me back to 1973 when I was just 18 years old, and bring back fond memories that I will cherish always.

Thank you so much!

Great web site - Berlin was one of the best assignments I had in 28 years active duty. I was in the 1946CS at TCA from 1975 to 1978, working in Radar Maintenance and then Maintenance Quality Control. While I was there, my mother was working in a NH country store whose owner had been at Tempelhof during the airlift. He and I have swapped stories a number of times. If anyone from those days reads this, his name in George Gardner MacLeay.

To this day, I believe Berlin to be the one of neatest cities I've ever lived in, second perhaps to Boston.
