I was stationed in Berlin from 1975 until 1977 and in H&S Company. I worked in the com-center at "the hill" as as a trick chief and attempted to play and coach softball. I learned to play a lot better years later unfortunately.

Among my friends that I thought highly of there were Harry Tillman, Bobby Bishop, Tom Lynch, Jim Bryant, John Iindermill, Wayne Brindley, Lana Cullison, Robin Hill and Trish Myers.

I am retired and a grandfather with nothing to do but think of the good old days and Berlin is one of my fondest memories of the 26 years I spent in the military. God bless all of you whereever you are.

I reported to Berlin in Apr 72 and left Oct 73. I was 19 when I reported and left at 21 years of age. I was assigned to Maintenance Platoon HHC 3rd Bn 6th Infantry. When I pulled up the website it sure brought back memories. I learned a lot during that time. I went on to serve in the Army Reserve and retired Coast Guard for a total of 28 years of service Thanks for the memories.

I had the pleasure to be a member of two units with a great military history. The 82nd Airborne Division and the Berlin Brigade. After leaving Fort Bragg I was told im going to Berlin, but I still had no idea what journey I was about to take.I loved the 82nd Airborne but I will never forget Berlin.I still have life long friends I met there who I see continually. My daughter was born in Berlin and is now twenty years old.Upon ETS I tried sone reserves but it was not the same.I spent ten years in the military and dont regret a day.Since leaving the military I have been in lawenforcement. I am a Metropolitan Police Officer in DC.There are several Police Officers in DC who are Berlin Veterans still holding a "Unique" status. To my "Law East of the Elbe Brothers/Sisters I pray you are well. 287th Military Police are now state side"God bless them to carry on what we started. To Berlin Chapter #99 ,E W Armstrong #145 members,E P Jones Cammandery,Deary Vaugh Knights Templar and Taharka Temple#207,God bless you all and Like 9-11 NEVER FORGET "LABELLS" and PAN AM FlIGHT 103. To all who served in Berlin "Iche Ben Ine Berlin"

Nice web page. I was stationed at Andrews Barracks in 1969-70. I was with the 592nd Sig Co. we shared the same building as our barracks. I was also a life guard at the indoor swimming pool.
Brings back a lot of great memories.

I pulled up the website from a Google search for Tempelhof. I was in Berlin from July '68 through Aug '71 with the USAF 6912th Security Sqdn. Lived at TCA and worked at the Marienfelde site. Definitely enjoyed the opportunity to live in the city and travel to other parts of Europe. The pizza at Renato's Bar was the best.
