no.: 59 date: 10.08.2005, 14:34 name: cameron email: *********** homepage: http://....www.astro.uu.nl/~bassa/penc/20050617cd2/ pics-holland 2 iran. favorite snack on tour: yoghurt and bananas. forget the http when looking at my pics. wildest tour so far: well...i'm heading to tibet right now, from holland. entry i really love this site. great photos ad info, and i like the remoteness of your trips. something that puzzles me is the amount of gear you seem to take. i am heading to tibet and will be there in the early part of winter. i have 2 front panniers-ortlieb fronts and 2 rear panniers-ortlieb rears. with all my winter gear none of these panniers are full, i have the capacity to carry 3-4 days food before the panniers are full. i have nothing on the top of my rack, nor a handlebar bag. i am just thinking what iam missing? my bike and gear weigh approx 35kgs. what was your weight for tibet? everyone has their own idea on what is neccassary and what they are willing to lug up hills, i understand. i am just curious on your thoughts about this. thanks and take care.cam. |

BBQed is best. wildest tour so far: Athens to Nordkapp (Norway) entry Congrats on a great sight. Hoping for some advice. Planning on cycling in Chile/Argentina next Feb/Mar. Plan A is to go Santiago to Tierra del Fuego (via Argentina) in 3 weeks (my estimate is 3000km). If this is a pedal-stroke too far Plan B is Puerto Mont-Tierra del Fuego. You, and others who've signed the guestbook, appear to have some Patagaonia experience. Any top-tips would be appreciated. |

In particular I am impressed about the Conguillio-area which isn´t that hard for biking, but offers a lot of scenic spots. |
